I’m about to collapse into bed from an incredibly busy weekend, but I had to get this event journaled!:
This weekend at Williamston Theatre, after the curtain call for the sold out performance of Every Christmas Story Ever Told!!, one of the actors proposed to his girlfriend from the stage, in front of the whole audience, and she said yes!
Aral Gribble is a very talented, hardworking actor in his mid-20’s. I directed him in our very successful production of Fully Committed last year, where he played 37 characters in a one-man show. Saturday night, he got engaged to an incredible, talented woman, Lynn Lammers, who directed our production of Flap this past summer! And they got engaged on our stage!
A wonderful thing, the audience cheered and people shed some tears, both of them had family in attendance, we’re so excited that it happened on our stage, and we couldn’t be happier for our friends!
Awwwwww!! I think that’s a magical place you’ve created there.
Thanks, Mary! I think so too!
It sure was a neat moment. And seeing it from behind the scenes, it was also cool to see the other two cast members rally around Aral in the days/hours/scenes leading up to the magical moment. Yup, a very special event.
You had a great hand in that: I understand you were the Ringbearer! You’re like Frodo!!
THAT IS JUST…SO…awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!
He has pretty eyes.
AWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!
and…
MERRY CHRISTMAS, TONY!!!!!!!!! I bet you’re having a blast with those cute lil’ kids of yours!:D
