Starting rehearsals for Talley’s Folly at Williamston Theatre today.
Man, am I excited about this show. Daba Parker and Kate Peckham are starring in it, and they’re both terrific onstage and off – it’s great to have them in the building. Plus John Lepard is directing, and that’s going to be wonderful for WT!
The set, by Bart Bauer, is just amazing. A big, beautiful boathouse from the early 1900’s, it’s only 1/2 done and it already looks fabulous in our space! Plus we’re doing a couple of small renovations to one of the theatre seating areas, which will continue to improve our space – AND help make this show and future shows better by helping with sightlines, etc… π I’ll post some pictures of the set in progress soon.
Oh, and in other news that I forgot to post about, Williamston Theatre received three Wilde Award Nominations! Nominations include Dana Brazil as Best Supporting Actress in Flap, Hallie Bard and Aral Gribble as Best Duo in Hate Mail, and Hate Mail is also nominated as Best Comedy. So that’s nice. π
Go Williamston. That’s fantastic.
I wish we were there or you were here because Emma would be taking your summer teen workshops!
Thanks for those kind words! We’d LOVE to have Emma in our workshops! C’mon, it’s not THAT far a drive!
…okay, it probably is…darnit!
