A nice Sunday

Some very nice auditions today for the Williamston Theatre production of The Effect Of Gamma Rays On Man In The Moon Marigolds. John Lepard is directing the show in January, and I’m really excited about it!

After those, stuck around the theatre for a little while to meet and greet some folks before the VERY full performance of Leaving Iowa. Audiences are really loving the show, and I’m really glad – it’s a big treat to have folks say “Man, that took me back to when I was a kid”, or “That was my Dad! That Dad was just like mine, wow.” I’ve said all along that one of the biggest goals of this show is that, after seeing it, I’d love for folks to come out of our theatre with the urge to call their loved ones just to chat and catch up.

Then, this evening, we had an absolutely fantastic time at Greenfield Village! They had an early Halloween event with Trick-or-Treating for kids, and the park was lit up with thousands of jack-o-lanterns, and FILLED with actors and wonderfully fun Halloween things (and candy!). Oh my gosh, so much fun. The kids had a blast, and watching them have a blast is always a blast for us parents! 🙂 We went with my brother and sister and their families, and it was a great way to spend an evening! (AND they have a cool exhibit now that we couldn’t see this evening, but my brother and I are going back for in a couple of weeks: Out Of This World (Extraordinary Costumes From Film and Television)! I can’t wait! 🙂
