The Friday Run Down…

Stream of consciousness…

-Coming down with the flu/cold/plague during Tech Week of a show is not a good idea.

-There are people who surround themselves with a crazy-bubble of distorted reality – it’s often amazing to see what happens when bits of reality leak into that bubble. Also often, unfortunately, it’s unpleasant for those around that person.

-I just learned that I should have more Zinc in my diet. Apparently it helps fight the flu/cold.

-Sometimes the waiting is the hardest part. Then, other times, it’s just annoying.

-Reps. Reps. Reps. One of the Director’s best tools.

-There is just no way I can afford to hire all of the great people I’d like to hire.

-Being reminded that there are some things you just stink at can be a painful but helpful experience.

-A long weekend playing with the family sounds like a really good prescription for a lot of things…

-Alka Seltzer Plus Cold and Flu, you are my hero.

Speaking of spectacles…

I somehow cracked the lens in my glasses.

I have no idea how.

I don’t remember getting into any bar fights, or having anyone stone me from a distance. I was wearing my glasses, and took them off to wipe some smudges off, and found a crack in a lens.

So, I took them in, and they have to be sent away to be fixed. It’ll only take 2 days.

This means I’m wearing my old glasses.

The old prescription is only a tiny bit off, just enough to be annoying and give me a headache after prolonged use.

I should be fine for the next couple of days as long as I don’t have to, you know, look at stuff like, oh, scripts or people a few yards away doing stuff on, for instance, a stage.

This should go well.
