Allright, boys and girls – The Amazing Race has come to a close for the season. What a show. Since I don’t want to bore everyone who’s not interested to tears, I’ll not fill this page with an entry about it. Instead, a whole entry about the show can be found by clicking below!
YES!! Uchenna and Joyce! I’m so glad they won – and my second fav’s came in second, excellent. Ron and Kelly, sorry; Ron was a jerk and I didn’t want him to win. Shoot me.
I fully expected Uchenna and Joyce to not win, though. They played with the most HEART – no question. However, they made dumb mistakes – how many trips can you make to the airport and STILL not quadruple check that your flight is the fastest to arrive somewhere?! I mean, in this last episode, they almost lost the race on that mistake AGAIN! The only thing that saved them was last minute begging of the flight crew to let them on the trip! The begging worked, though, and they made the most of each chance they had and never gave up.
Rob and Amber, in my humble opinion, played the game the best. They took advantage of every opportunity – some not particularly ethical or sportsmanlike, but on the other hand, if there were rules they weren’t supposed to break, they would’ve been penalized! It, like Survivor, is to be played to win, not to be everyone’s friend at the end. It’s a game! (Despite the incorrect “reality tv” label a lot of these “Fully immersive game shows” are getting, it really is a competition, a game! Play to win, or go home! ) Rob and Amber lost, but it was close – it was nothing they did incorrectly, they got screwed by a pedestrian giving them wrong directions. Oh well!
Uchenna and Joyce – sweet, good hearted people. Kind to others, played hard, and well – it was nice to see the people I thought were most deserving (of the last 5 or 6 couples) to take the prize.
This show is so entertaining. You pull for people, your adrenaline goes, the editing and sound really work, and it’s quickly gone to the top of my “Fully immersive game show” list.
That’s all! Now, on to Thursday and Sunday for Survivor finale!
