3 more All-Star Pics

I know it’s been a couple weeks, but I can’t resist posting more of these pictures from the fabulous All-Star Game. (Besides, we got our hi-speed connection today, and I’m celebrating by posting some pics to see how quickly they post!)

Since the last shots were “on the field” shots, I’ll do a few different ones here…

If you’re interested,

Okay, the first one is self explanatory, it’s the very cool Stealth Plane.
The second and third need some explaining: Comerica Park is open to the city skyline, meaning that the downtown skyline is visible beyond the outfield walls. As a great part of the All-Star decorations, they had giant projections on many of the buildings visible from the ballpark. On 8 or 9 of the buildings, once it got dark, were different baseball related images (and sometimes advertisements, from the big sponsor Chevy). (Also, a few times, Detroit was spelled out in building high letters, which was cool.) The 2nd and 3rd pictures are two of these projections.

Stealth Stealth
This is the Stealth plane that did the Opening Ceremony “Fly-Over”. It was very impressive!
Building 1 Building 1
One of the MLB All Star Icons was projected against this downtown building, visible from the stadium.

This projection of the MLB Logo was visible beyond the right field wall.
