Another encouraging step…

So our first performance in the building went very well.

The Staged Reading of Annie Martin’s new untitled comedy was very well received, which was very exciting.

Also, and possibly even more exciting, was the fact that we performed it in front of a packed house.
Packed to the rafters.
Packed to the rafters in a “Holy shit we don’t have enough chairs and have to get office furniture down here!” kinda way!
Packed to the rafters in a “Folks, we’ll get started in just a couple of minutes, because we still have people coming in and we’re borrowing chairs from down the street to seat everyone!” kinda way!

Our first audience in our new building. And we literally had standing room only.

So, that was pretty awesome.

Overwhelming. Humbling. Encouraging.

And freaking awesome.

Thanks! Hey, I got that catalog – did I tell you? (I’m getting old, the memory’s going…) We’ll be going over it, but it’s gonna be a bit before we can afford anything in it! Do you have a dimmer pack that I can get for $1.97? That’s what I’ve got in my change dish…

Glad you got the Catalog. Sorry it took so long to get it to you.
Give me a call when you have a few minutes. I’d like to hear how the building is coming. If possible you should post pics from your events. I and I’m sure others would like to see them.
Take care and we’ll talk soon.

  1. Congrats! Glad to hear the reading went well. I’m sure more great stuff is on the way. We had a good opening weekend here at the Rose, so it sounds like it’s been a rewarding weekend for Michigan theatre in general.

  2. i had a dream last night that i was watching some program on tv about theatre, and there was this woman representing williamston theatre…that’s actually the only thing i remember about the dream…it must be some sort of sign……….
