Some encouraging news:
Williamston Theatre got our first grant today! A $5,000.00 grant! It’s an excellent first grant, not enough to fund a whole show, but enough to pay some bills and keep our momentum building!
Some sad, sobering news:
Kirby Puckett, hall of fame baseball player died at age 45.
45! He had a massive stroke this weekend, and died shortly after. What a shame.
Also, Dana Reeve, Christopher Reeve’s widow, passed away from lung cancer at age 44. 44!
Those young ages certainly make me stop and think.
I need to take better care of myself, get a checkup and start exercising more.
Both of those folks had children, ranging from 13 years old to grown men and women.
Makes you think.
I couldn’t agree more
Kirby was less than 10 years older than we are. It really does make you think.
If your serious about starting to exercises I would recommend reading Body for Life, by Bill Philips. A guy at work loaned me a copy while I don’t necessarily agree with the whole program there are testimonials in it that are very inspiring. And some of his philosophy’s make a lot of sense. I’m working on going to the gym when ever I’m in the office, which isn’t often enough but at least is something.
Good luck,
Spencer
Re: I couldn’t agree more
I’ll have to check it out. I have like ZERO time to go to the gym, and no interest in spending the cash for a membership, but I want a good exercise regime for home.
Yay for Williamston, Way to go!! And I hadn’t heard about Kirby Puckett, but heard about Dana Reeves. Lung Cancer, and she was a lifelong NONsmoker!!! How does stuff like that happen??? Oy.
And do take good care of yourself..LJ would be no fun if not for your posts!!!
Thanks Debbie!
I love that userpic!! Heee-larious!
