So Maggie was supposed to dissect a cow’s eyeball a couple of weeks ago in school.
Much to her dismay, it was postponed.
Today, she’s chanting, all sing-songey:
Tomorrow I dissect an EYEBALL! Tomorrow I dissect an EYEBALL!
She’s a little excited about it.
She wants to take her camera in and take some pictures to show me.
If she does, I’ll be sure and post them!
Very smart girl you have there!
Mine was a Lamb’s eye and I had a blast. The cornea was the BEST!
*Laughing* “The cornea was the best!”
I’m really glad she’s showing such an interest in science! She loves to read and draw and write stories, so it’s nice to see her enjoying some of the more scientific studies too!
I never dissected anything. I kinda wish I had!
Oh god, I remember when I had to do that in school. It grossed me out!!! The eyeball is all full of liquid so when you cut into it, you have to be the kid furthest from the table so you don’t get shot with eye juice! Ewwww….well at least it was a good prep for the frog and the fetal pig…No wonder I’m a vegetarian
What, you think getting sprayed with eyeball juice made you a vegetarian?
I thought science had proven that was a genetic thing, and not a lifestyle choice.
Oh, wait…that’s something else…
Bring on the eyeball pics! I am sure I will hear about it when the kids spend the night next weekend.
I ate a goats eye when I was in Iceland. It really wasn’t that bad. Then again, I will eat just about anything…
Hmmm…
You ate a goat’s eye?
On purpose? Or did you lose a bet?
Was the goat alive? (I know how you heavy metal fans can be, biting bats heads off and the like…)
Did you find it enjoyable? Or were you too drunk at the time to tell? I only ask because even though I like to think of myself as adventurous, I really think I would have to have a drink or two before I ate a goat’s eye.
I ate a lady finger once.
And I’ve eaten rattlesnake. Just the meat. Not the eye.
Yep, now I’m ready for breakfast. No question.
