Well, tonight we start previews for Rounding Third at Williamston Theatre.
It’s been a good rehearsal process, and I like the show, so I’m looking forward to seeing how audiences respond. Houses are kind of light, September is always slow for theatre in Michigan, so I’m hoping that they’ll pick up soon. Previews are fun, though, and it gives us a chance to keep polishing some scenes I want to keep working on, while we also learn a bunch from watching the audience watch the show!
Plus – hey, getting into previews always means that getting more sleep is just around the corner!
Can’t wait to see how it goes tonight!
Break a LEG!
Thanks! It went pretty well, the audience liked it, and we’ve got a handful of things to work on tomorrow, which is a pretty normal place to be for first preview. Yay!
Huzzah for more sleep!
*laughing*
Perfect userpic!!
More sleep is good, but I didn’t mean THIS much sleep…
It’s 1pm and I just woke up. I must have turned off the alarm in my sleep.
Darnit.
Hope it’s going well! My mother used to do costumes for the Royal Ballet (canada) and a few other places during her career, so theater’s facinating. 🙂
Thanks! I’ll bet you got to see some really wonderful dance, if you were around while she worked there!
