What a wonderful birthday this year! The things about it that were awesome:
Yesterday, Chris and Emily took John and I out to lunch (his birthday is Friday). We just closed the theatre for a couple of hours and all 4 of us founding members went to the Red Cedar Grill and had a feast! Awesome.
A great day at work today, where I rehearsed a very fun, challenging play with a great actor.
This evening, we had some family come over, and had dinner, cake, and great fun. I got some neat presents, including a great shirt, a Detroit Tigers Monopoly game (So cool!), the DVD/Board game “Scene It”, and a gift card. Also, I have to share the hilarious card I got from my sister, which said: Happy Birthday to my big brother Tony…the next best thing to having a pet monkey. Ahhh, she’s funny!
My wife and kids honored me with a wonderful performance of “Happy Birthday To You” by Dr. Seuss! Beautifully staged, it included some very fun performances by Jeanne as narrator, and my kids as a variety of characters, and was just amazingly sweet!
Also, today, Williamston Theatre got a big fat gift. Our amazing Patron/Angel/Saint/Sponsor Steve Zynda completed the purchase of our building. Steve had been paying the rent for us for all of 2006. Now, instead of renting the building for us, he’s renting it to us. For $1 a year. Yep – he purchased the building, and now we’re able to do some renovations that we need/want to do, but were unable to do while renting from another owner. An amazing thing, this gift, and you’ll be hearing more about the changes in this journal soon.
Plus, I got a whole bunch of nice phone calls from friends and family.
So – a great way to start another year!
Happy Birthday! Glad you had such a nice day!
Thanks Allison! Hope your week is going well too!
Happy Birthday Tony!
Congrats on all the great things happening to you and your theatre.
Thank you Kate. I wish I could see your show! Sadly, the cross-country drive is too much for my schedule right now! π
Happy birthday!
And that’s awesome about the rental on the building, what with all those funds that can now go to the rest of the production.
Thanks! And what a great cake!
Happy Birthday
Happy Birthday. As usual I’m a bit late but I’m glad to hear you had a good day. Congrats on the building as well.

Re: Happy Birthday
Hey, Thanks Spanky! See you in February! π
Happy Belated! I’m so glad you had a good day– You deserve lots of them. And so sweet with the kids– it sounds like they’re following you on to the stage π
Thanks Mary! I hope your day is going well, too! And, yep – the kids have lately decided that they LOVE putting on little plays for us in the basement! It’s been very fun. I’m still hoping they become doctors and lawyers so they can support me in my old age, of course.
But…Doctors and Lawyers with an artistic side! *laughing*
Hey I didnt’ know it was your birthday! Happy birthday yesterday!
Thanks!! Hope all is well with you?
I still love that icon!
OMG
Happy Birthday! I’m sorry I didn’t catch it sooner. Glad to see it’s been WONDERFUL!
Thanks RR! I hope everything is wonderful with you!

Happy, Happy Birthday. What wonderful people and news to make your day so special. And not special in a retarded way, unless of course that’s what it was! Congrats and many happy wishes for this upcoming year!
