A new family member…

Well, after 2 years of deliberating and begging (from the kids), and weighing options, it appears we will soon be the owners of a brand new puppy.

A Cockapoo – (a specially bred cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle)medium sized, hypoallergenic (for Jeanne). Only a few weeks old, we can’t bring her home until Mid-July.

I leave home for a couple of weeks, and this is what happens! *laughing*

Anybody know anything about cockapoos?

I don’t know if you ever met Pickles the black Cockapoo we had as kids. There great dogs. Small enough to be good inside and sit on your lap. But not so small they look like toys. They have a lot of energy, and at least with ours can jump pretty high.
    Good luck.

I’m a total fun governor. I tried to talk Jeanne out of it. ha ha ha Bowser has been gone for a year and every now and then, a dog-hair tumbleweed appears out of nowhere and dances across the hardwood…as if to taunt me.
But lucky for you, your kids are old enough to help with the care of the puppy, and it will be a great learning experience for them. And you. (evil laugh)
However, when David finds out his cousins got a puppy he’s going to be jealous, so in order to ease his pain, I pasted some fake fur and googly eyes on a brick. I named him Brick. I’m sure he and David will spend many an hour frolicking in the yard together. There’s nothing so sweet as a boy and his brick.

      “I named him Brick.”
      LOL!
Oh man, I’m in a Starbucks in Astoria, Queens, and laughing my butt off at that post – I’m getting some great looks as I keep repeating “I named him Brick” and laughing!
I like dogs! I like having dogs! Our dog is a non-shedding dog, so hopefully the tumbleweeds will be less of an issue. We’re trying to pick a name now… I’m thinking of calling it Gina. Or maybe Brick.
      “a boy and his brick…” ah, God that’s funny…
