“The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.”
“Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight, or any experience that reveals the human spirit.”
“To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.”
Gotta love e.e. It’s been awhile, but I really took a liking to his poetry in college. It’s often nonsensical at first glance, but a lot of fun to dive into.
Agreed! It’s been a long time since I really read ANY poetry in any depth, but his is always fun.
