Quick hits

Still catching up from opening Guys On Ice this past weekend.

Response has been good. No reviews yet, but hopefully those will be good this week and continue to boost ticket sales! Word of mouth is going great, though.
Haven’t felt much like writing lately, spending some family time and slowing life down a tiny bit after the rush to get the show open. Enjoying watching some TV (Heroes, Stargate: Atlantis, Pushing Daisies) and I’ve got the last two episodes of Chuck in my TiVo, so we’ll see how those go!

So, Simon Pegg from Shaun of the Dead will be playing Scotty in the new Star Trek “prequel” movie. Nice. Still waiting to see who will be Kirk!

[Edited to Add: Several of you have pointed out that they HAVE cast Kirk. Thanks! Discussion of this can be found in the comments section, where I ask “Who the heck IS this guy?]

Okay, Cleveland and Boston are battling it out for tops in the American League. I really want it to be Boston, because Cleveland is the big rival of the Tigers. C’mon Boston!!

Had a fabulous time this weekend, walked around the MSU football tailgaters selling raffle tickets (as a fundraiser), which was fun. Then Sunday we took the kids to the Apple Orchard/hay maze/hay ride place (Jenny’s Orchard) and had a blast.

Lost in the challenge with my wife: She challenged me to see who could go longer without sweets. I lost! Those pumpkin donuts with warm cider were too tempting. I’m WEAK!! But I’d gone a week before succumbing…and now I’ll start again! πŸ™‚

This video makes me laugh… A) some things never change, and B) I totally want a whole set of these!

    • Who in the heck IS that?
Well, I’ve never heard of him, so I can’t say Hooray or Boo…
But I hope the movie’s good!
(And yep, my sweet tooth, like my appetite for adventure, is insatiable.)
(“Appetite for adventure”?! Okay, I’m not even sure what that means…but I typed it and I’m not taking it back!)

      Heehee!
Yeah, I’m starting to get a little suspect myself. I really want it to work, but that’s the Fanboy in me…the grownup who directs plays and creates stories for a living is hearing some alarm bells and fearing that the hopes of that Fanboy may be dashed upon the rocks… All we can do is hope!
