Should I really be up at 1:40 doing paperwork and watching Star Trek III: The Search For Spock?
Probably not, but here I am.
This isn’t the best directed film in the canon, no question. Mediocre fx, a horrible climactic fight scene, most of the sets really look like sets, and only a couple of the funny moments really land. Still – the camaraderie of the crew, the death of the Enterprise, McCoy trying to nerve pinch a security guard, “Klingon bastards, you’ve killed my son” – there are enough great moments to make it enjoyable.

Yes! “Don’t call me Tiny!” That was pretty funny!
Unfortunately, the moment of Sulu actually kicking his butt was as poorly edited as the other fight scenes. Still, this has one of my favorite storylines, because it’s about the family helping one of their own. 🙂
