‘Fringe’ exiting on sci-fi high | Variety

My current favorite show on TV ends on Friday. Here’s a nice article about it from Variety.

I love this show, it’s become one of my favorite sci-fi shows of all time. As a big fan of science fiction, that’s a big thing for me to say. One of the things I love about it the most is that the heart of it, like so many good stories, is about family and love. Then, you take those things and add in weird alternate universes and time travelers and creepy mysteries and incredible characters being brought to life with fabulous performers and writers who aren’t afraid to take risks and turn the whole thing on it’s head once in a while… that’s inspiring. And good storytelling.

  1. I only became a fan in the middle of the third season and really additive in season four. You’re right, Tony. This is a magnificent show with a courageous group of actors, producers and writers who are willing to change the given circumstances at the drop of a hat. I really appreciate the overall quality of acting. This final season has been a real whirlwind. Unfortunately, its not a full season so I have to be satisfied by Friday’s two-hour ending. I would have preferred if the writers had found a way to keep Henry Ian Cusack’s character around, too. But that was not to be. So I will cherish my last Fringe episode and move on.

    • I agree, Gary, I loved Henry Ian Cusack, I wish he would’ve stuck around longer. He did have a cool final scene, though! Or… his head did… 🙂

Hope you enjoyed the finale as much as I did!
